Including you!
  • At the start of the event we’ll welcome everyone as equals, whether you’re old or new, leader of the pack or lone wolf.
  • There will be workshops at the start to help all folks arrive into this space.
  • At this event anyone may request or offer a workshop or other activity for any of the slots. Of course, you don’t have to offer any activity if you don’t want to.
  • Each person will have equal time to present their proposed activity.
  • Opening circles will be facilitated each day by any co-counsellors that want to do so… usually two co-facilitators per morning.

Ceilidh

Each annual McCoCo is co-created afresh, so we never know exactly what will happen.

However…

Until now we have had a ceilidh on the final evening. This is not a ‘folk dance evening’ in the English understanding of the word. This is a gathering where people come together and have the opportunity if they wish to ‘take a turn’. It might be a poem, a song, jokes, drama sketch, dance etc.
Maybe there’ll be one this year too!

ceilidh means

noun: ceilidh; plural noun: ceilidhs; noun: ceili; plural noun: ceilis
  1. a social event with Scottish or Irish folk music and singing, traditional dancing, and storytelling.
late 19th century: from Scottish Gaelic ceilidh and Irish célidhe (earlier form of céilí ), from Old Irish céilide ‘visit, visiting’, from céile ‘companion’.
